Our History

It started in February 2014 a couple of dedicated people from the community, formed an association named LGBTIQ -Support & Protection Services which was aimed to support LGBTIQA+ People entering or leaving the Commonwealth Services and support the general communities with the various challenges, this includes consulting and providing services with Non-Government Organisation's (NGOs), Charities, Non-Profits (NFPs), Social Enterprises, Local, State, and Federal Government Organisations across Australia.

In 2017 when the Work and Development Order (WDO) Permits from New South Wales (NSW) was released to NGOs and NFP's we were registered as the First National Sponsor/Partner within Revenue NSW providing case management, counselling/support work, and other services as required to the Victorian and New South Wales Communities, then our services grew across Australia, with volunteers and advocates across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, across Australia with Volunteer Case Managers.

In 2018 when the Work and Development Permit (WDP) from Victoria (VIC) was released to NGOs and NFPs we were registered as the First National Sponsor/Partner within Fines Victoria providing case management, counselling/support work, and other services as required across Australia with Volunteer Case Managers.

In 2019 we resolved to rename the organisation Diverse Communities & Social Services (DCSS Australia) where we are now proudly known as the leading National Indigenous & LGBTIQA+ Community Justice & Social Services Charity across Australia, helping unfortunate and marginalised communities with their Infringement Debts/Community Justice needs, as well as advocating for the appropriate support needs such people require.

In 2020 we launched a new Indigenous Social Enterprise called Not-for-Profit & Charity Community Consultants
(NFPCCC), with the motto of "HELPING YOU - HELP THOSE IN NEED" which is devoted to making the world a better place through various initiatives designed to help those in need. We are established to help Social Enterprises, Not-for-Profits, and Charities with their missions and services through a vast range of services to help those people and communities in need.

In 2021 when the Work and Development Permit (WDP) from Western Australia (WA) and State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) Program from Queensland (QLD) was released to NGOs and NFPs we were registered as the First National Sponsor/ Partner within the Queensland Treasury providing case management, counselling/support work, and other services as required across Australia with Volunteer Case Managers.

Over the past 24 months of delivering the National LGBITQA+ & Indigenous Community Justice Program, we currently have a 98% success rate with our clients and stakeholders and supported over 115 vulnerable Australians, with a total value of $547K+ (as of 9 December 2021), with their Infringement/Community Justice matters with a small team of dedicated professional volunteer case managers and community partners, which we cannot do without the kind and generous support of the community.

DCSS Australia can assist people to get the appropriate services for their unique health and well-being needs, we do our best to ensure our clients don't fall through the cracks of the public health and social services systems.

Our clients are generally identified with have complex psycho-social and physical health concerns and may need services which are not adequately provided for by government agencies or other social ventures and charities, so that is where DCSS Australia will try to provide support and assistance to the best of our abilities, for example, we may provide referrals to or and physically accompany people to Medical, Psychology and other Counselling appointments to provide support.

We can provide basic case management tailored to their needs, which will empower our clients to self manage how they would like our volunteers to help manage their case management and support services, as long it is practicable and lawful with all guidelines, policies and procedures within the organisations and regulatory authorities.
